Ice Cream Haze Feminised Cannabis Seeds by Dutch Passion
Ice Cream Haze is a US sativa-dominant, F1 hybrid strain that was bred from two superior parent strains, viz. Haze x Ice Cream Cake. The former is already well-known for many years and the latter is an illustrious, more recent strain, that is the product of crossing Gelato and Wedding Cake. Growers can expect to harvest very large crops of terpene-rich, highly-potent buds.
Cultivation;
Ice Cream Haze grows into very large plants with strong branches that thrive indoors as well as outdoors in a warm, Mediterranean-type of climate. Due to its vigorous and prolific F1 genetics plants can grow to be up to 300cm. tall when grown outdoors with plenty of root space.
Indoors it is recommended to plant either in a SoG at a density of 12 – 16 plants/m2 with a short vegetative growth, or alternatively using SCRoG at 2 – 4 plants/m2 with a longer period of veg. Plants continue to stretch for 4 – 5 weeks or so after being switched to flowering. In an 8 – 10 week flowering period yields of up to 700gr/m2, or even higher, can be realised by growers with some previous experience. Carbon filters are recommended indoors as the level of pungency emitted is very high.
Outdoor growers should stick to warm, dry, Mediterranean climates so ensure the best quality and to allow for a longer flowering time. In this environment yields can be as high as 1000gr/plant. Planting either directly in open ground or in very large 100 – 500 litre containers is advised. The individual colas are long at 25 – 50 cm. that may need some form of support as the buds are heavy thanks to the indica influence, and which are covered in sparkling white trichomes making a good extract-makers strain.
Flavour & Effect;
Ice Cream Haze is rich in terpenes (Beta-caryophyllene (18.3%), Terpinolene (18.3%), Beta-Myrcene (8.9%), Ocimene (7.8%), Beta-Farnesene (7.8%) producing a pronounced tropical fruit and Haze aroma with some spicy notes. THC production is high at 18 – 22% on average but this can be as high as 25% in experienced hands and with optimum conditions. The effect is potent, something of a creeper, uplifting, euphoric, energetic and long-lasting, eventually evolving into a more dreamy state.
