Ice Cream Haze is a US sativa-dominant, F1 hybrid, regular seed strain that results from the crossing of two superior parent strains, viz. Haze x Ice Cream Cake. Haze is a very well-known strain now for several decades while the latter is a more recent strain that has garnered much favour, being the product of breeding Gelato with Wedding Cake. Growers can expect to harvest very large crops of highly-potent buds with high terpene production.

Ice Cream Haze Regular grows into tall plants with strong branches that perform very well indoors as well as outdoors in warm, Mediterranean-type climates. Vigorous and prolific, the stable F1 genetics enable plants to grow to be as tall as 300cm. when grown outdoors given plenty of root space. Indoors gardeners are advised to plant either in SoG at a density of 12 – 16 plants/m2 with a short vegetative growth period, or alternatively using SCRoG at 2 – 4 plants/m2 with a longer period of veg. Plants continue to stretch for 4 – 5 weeks or so after being switched to flowering. In 8 – 10 week of flowering yields of up to 700gr/m2, or even higher, can be obtained by more experienced growers. Carbon filters are strongly recommended indoors as pungency levels are very high.

Outdoors, Ice Cream Haze is suited to warm, dry, Mediterranean climates to ensure the best quality and to allow for the potentially longer flowering time. In this environment yields can be as high as 1000gr/plant. Planting either directly in open ground or in very large 100 – 500 litre containers is recommended. Individual colas are nice and long at 25 – 50 cm. and may need support as the buds are heavy thanks to the indica influence, and these are covered in sparkling white trichomes making this a good extract-makers strain.

Ice Cream Haze is rich in terpenes (Beta-caryophyllene (18.3%), Terpinolene (18.3%), Beta-Myrcene (8.9%), Ocimene (7.8%), Beta-Farnesene (7.8%) producing a heavyed tropical fruit and Haze aroma with some spicy notes. THC production is high at 18 – 22% on average but this can reach 25% in experienced hands and in optimum conditions. The effect is potent, something of a creeper, uplifting, euphoric, energetic and long-lasting, eventually evolving into a more dreamy and relaxed state.
