The indica-dominant F3 hybrid known as Sour Curry AD is the result of crossing AD 17 Blueberry with AD Blueberry. This strain thrives in a wide range of climates and, while it can be grown indoors successfully, it is particularly well-suited for outdoor or greenhouse cultivation. Having some previous experience with cannabis cultivation is advantageous. It’s smooth-edged, long, single-leaf structure during vegetative growth makes it relatively discreet.
Cultivation:
The plants have a tall stature, reaching heights of up to 250 cm when grown outdoors in direct sunlight. Indoors, the flowering period lasts for approximately nine weeks, yielding between 350 to 450 grams per square meter. Outdoor cultivation can result in high yields of up to 750 grams per plant. Harvest time for outdoor cultivation in the northern hemisphere typically falls between late October and mid-November. While in southern latitudes, it occurs from late April to the middle of May.
When temperatures drop, the buds take on colourful hues of red and purple. During the vegetative stage, the plants have low nutrient requirements, but as they enter the flowering stage, their nutrient needs increase. Outdoor plants grown in soil will require additional nutrients due to the large volume of soil and its buffering effect on drainage.
Flavours and Effect:
Sour Curry AD derives its name from the Thai/Lao curry flavour it produces, characterised by notes of holy basil, bay leaves, curry leaves, and a subtle hint of lemon.
THC levels are relatively high, hovering around 20% or slightly higher, while CBD content remains low, below 1%. The effect of Sour Curry AD is sedative, providing strong muscle relaxation and often leading to a heavy couch lock. Initially, users experience a potent head and body high, which gradually transitions into a more relaxed and less narcotic experience after approximately an hour.
