Variegated Delight Regular is a sativa-dominant strain resulting from a three-way cross of Gringo var Lemon, GPP Mango, and Lemon Grape SWAG. This strain exhibits phenotypical variation in leaf types, including smooth-edged single-bladed, webbed, and serrated leaves. Growers can anticipate high yields of THC-rich flowers. While Variegated Delight is adaptable to various climate types and conditions, it is recommended for intermediate and experienced growers.
Cultivation:
Approximately 30% of the plants display yellow on green variegations, while a smaller number exhibit very light green/yellow seedlings that are albinos. These albinos require grafting onto another plant due to viability issues related to photosynthesis and the lack of chlorophyll. Variegated plants are more susceptible to nutrient burns and, therefore, require lighter feeding, resulting in slower growth.
In addition to these characteristics, Variegated Delight plants can grow to be quite tall outdoors, reaching heights of up to 250cm. The serrated-leaf examples demonstrate robust vigour, while the SWAG-leafed ones exhibit remarkable resilience to drought and heat. The SWAG leaf plants also offer a more complex scent profile.
The majority of phenotypes produce airy sativa buds with shades of green and purple. Indoor flowering takes approximately 8-9 weeks, yielding up to 550 gr/m2. Outdoor cultivation can yield as much as 750 gr/plant, with northern hemisphere harvests ready in November. Southern hemisphere harvest is ready in May.
Flavours and Effect:
Serrated leaf-types deliver a fruity mojito flavour with a sweet lemon aroma and hints of mint. The smooth SWAG-leaf phenotypes have a unique quality reminiscent of rubber or burned tires, accompanied by notes of menthol and lime.
